This two-day, four-hour interactive workshop introduces you to the exciting world of modern board games. If your experience ends at Monopoly, Risk, or Scrabble, you will discover how game design has evolved over the last decade. Each two-hour session balances brief, engaging insights into modern game mechanics with hands-on, casual gameplay. You just may find a new favorite game to add to your game nights. Both sessions will feature different games but the same fun atmosphere!

Mah Jongg is having a moment - get in on the trend with this fun beginner class. You’ll learn the rules and mechanics of the four-person game of skill, strategy and luck, while building community. This class will cover all the basics required to play American Mah Jongg so that by the end of the course, you should be able to play on your own with an understanding of all the game has to offer and maybe make some new friends along the way.  An official American Mah Jongg Card will be required on the first day of class and can be purchased at americanmahjonggleague.org. Do not purchase from Amazon or other websites as they may not be the official card. It is preferred that participants bring their own mah jongg sets for this class, but it is not required. Joanne Beaver will be joined by Lori Shaffron to teach this class.

This class will teach participants the fundamentals of Improv Comedy. Throughout the class, Darryl will use improv warmups and several easy-to-understand improv exercises that will highlight the power of joy and laughter, as well as build on participants’ creativity and sense of community.
