Rick Carpenter, an IT profes-sional with 20 years of experience, will guide you through four classes that will cover topics ranging from the difference between wifi and cellular networks, how to use common file sharing tools like DropBox, how to manage your password and avoid online scams, arti-ficial intelligence, and more. Before you know it, you’ll be able to relate better to the “digital natives.” Bring your device for some hands-on activities.

Curious about building a website but don’t know where to start? This two-hour class will go over the foundations of building a website and elements that are often featured in modern websites.We’ll cover key elements like how a website  gets from your computer to the internet.You’ll also learn about modern website layouts, branding, navigation, and how to prepare content for an easier design process. You’ll also get tips on choosing a domain and writing effective copy.You’ll see examples of other websites, and share examples of websites you like with peers, discussing your own website goals in a collaborative way. By the end of class, you’ll have a better understanding of what goes into creating a website using a no-code website editor, without feeling overwhelmed.  Registrants will be emailed a Zoom link prior to start of class.
